Below is the carefully planned 4 days Mount Meru trekking itinerary followed by Tanzania Safari Experience. The schedule is designed to keep the climb safe, comfortable, and enjoyable.

Day 1: Momella Gate (1,387m) → Miriakamba Huts (2,514m)

Your adventure begins with a pick-up from your hotel or the airport, followed by a 2.5–3 hour drive to Arusha National Park and Momella Gate. Along the way, keep an eye out for giraffes, buffaloes, and antelopes.

After arranging your entry permits, the trek begins through open grassland. A park ranger accompanies you for safety. A stop at Maio Falls allows for a picnic and photo opportunity. You’ll then pass the famous fig tree arch before reaching Miriakamba Huts for afternoon tea.

The descent takes you back to Saddle Huts for a rest, followed by a further descent to Miriakamba Huts. This is the most challenging day, but the reward is unmatched.
