Arrive in Tanzania and transfer to your accommodation in Arusha, where you will spend your first night. Today is for settling in, resting after your flight, and preparing for the safari. There is no scheduled game drive, so your arrival time determines how much free time you have.

From Kilimanjaro International Airport, allow approximately one to one and a half hours to reach many Arusha hotels. The journey can take longer depending on traffic and the property’s location. Transfers from Arusha Airport are generally shorter, although the exact time still depends on your hotel.

Leave Arusha after breakfast and travel to Tarangire National Park for your first game drive.
