What to Expect

After the briefing, you will begin the night safari inside Tarangire National Park. The activity usually lasts around 2 hours, from 8:00 PM to 10:00 PM, depending on park arrangements and conditions.

During the drive, you will experience the park in a completely different way compared to the daytime. The atmosphere is quieter, cooler, and more mysterious, with the sounds of the bush becoming much stronger after dark.

You may have the chance to see nocturnal animals and nighttime behaviour, including animals hunting, resting, or moving through the park. Sightings can vary, but possible wildlife includes lions, hyenas, leopards, genets, civets, bush babies, owls, and other night-active animals.

The armed ranger will accompany you throughout the drive for safety and guidance, while your Tanzania Safari Experience guide will assist with spotting wildlife and explaining what you see. After the night game drive, you will return to your accommodation for the evening.
