On this day, you will be picked up from your hotel and transferred by your Tanzania Safari Experience guide to Rundugai Hot Springs, also commonly known as Chemka Hot Springs. It is a beautiful natural spring located near Moshi, surrounded by trees, clear blue water, and a peaceful local village atmosphere.

After arrival, you will have time to relax, swim, and enjoy the warm natural water. The spring is known for its clear turquoise colour and calm setting, making it a great place to unwind after safari, before a flight, or as a relaxing day trip from Arusha or Moshi.

You can swim in the spring, float in the water, take photos, enjoy the natural surroundings, or simply relax under the shade of the trees. The experience is not rushed, so you can enjoy the peaceful environment at your own pace.

The area is also good for guests who want a simple and refreshing activity without a long hike or a physically demanding program. Please bring swimwear, a towel, sunscreen, sandals, and a change of clothes.

After the activity, your guide will transfer you back to your hotel or continue directly to the airport, depending on your travel plan.

Rundugai Hot Springs, also known as Chemka Hot Springs, is located near Rundugai village in the Kilimanjaro region, between Moshi and Arusha. It is a popular day-trip destination because it is easy to combine with airport transfers, Kilimanjaro stays, or short relaxation programs.

Chemka Hot Springs was naturally formed by underground water flowing from the Kilimanjaro and Meru areas. The water moves through underground rocks and comes back to the surface as a clear spring. Even though it is called a “hot spring,” the water is usually warm to comfortably cool rather than very hot, making it perfect for swimming and relaxing.

The spring is famous for its beautiful turquoise water, shaded trees, and peaceful natural setting. It is a good place to swim, float, take photos, and enjoy a quiet break away from busy towns.

On clear days, you might be lucky enough to see Mount Kilimanjaro in the distance during the drive or from certain open areas around the region. Visibility depends on the weather, cloud cover, and time of day.
